Spider Jockeys are Spiders that spawn with a Skeleton riding on its back. They spawn in dimly lit areas on the surface and in caves. They function as two seperate entities, and if one mob is killed, the other will still function normally.

When a spider spawns, it has a 1% chance of having a skeleton riding on its back. When exposed to sunlight, the skeleton will burst into flames but the spider survives.

Spider Jockeys are capable of climbing. The skeleton will suffocate if the spider jumps onto a ceiling. The arrows of the skeleton riding a spider can penetrate glass and inflict damage.
