Spiders have glowing red eyes and spawn in dimly lit areas on the surface and in caves. When exposed to sunlight, they will no longer attack the player unless provoked.

Spiders have the ability to climb walls, and can run at nearly the same speed as a player. During the day, Spiders can be lit on fire without becoming aggressive. Listen for the distinctive hissing sound that spiders constantly make.

Spiders are the primary source for obtaining string.
