Skeletons are hostile mobs that shoot arrows at players if spotted. They spawn at night on the surface as well as in unlit areas and caves. When exposed to sunlight, Skeletons will catch on fire.

Skeletons move quickly, strafing and bunny-hopping at random, making them difficult targets to hit with projectiles. If a Skeleton's arrow hits another aggressive mob, that mob will attack the skeleton.

If a Skeleton's arrow kills a Creeper, a music disc will drop.

In addition to their normal drops, skeletons have a chance to drop a regular or enchanted bow.
