Pumpkins are a rare spawning block that can show up on grass or snow blocks. They spawn alone or in groups and can be worn as a helmet with no armor value.
It is possible to farm pumpkins. Planted pumpkin seeds grow into a central stem that grows until it reaches its maximum size, at which point pumpkins will randomly spawn in vacant spaces next to the stem. However, pumpkin seeds are only found in Abandoned Mine Shafts, which makes them hard to find.
