Used to smelt items. Smelting requires fuel such as coal, charcoal, wood, lava in a bucket, or most things made of wood.

Right-click your furnace to open the interface. Place your fuel (ie. charcoal) in the lower left box below the fire icon. Place the item to be cooked/smelted in the upper left box above the fire icon.

A pickaxe of some kind is required to break down a furnace.

It takes 9.25 seconds to cook/smelt an item.
