Fishing Rods allow you to catch raw fish. You can also use them to grab creatures and movable objects, and drag them towards you.
To use your fishing rod, make it your active item, then right-click. Right-click again to reel in the line. Rods have 33 uses (durability), but if you cast into water and reel it in without a catch, the durability is not reduced.
